VSCode is a great IDE for front-end development and development in general. By default, it offers Intellisense and syntax checks for Javascript. It is also very useful for creating Docker files etc.
Some useful extensions:
* Docker - add syntax check for Docker files, add Docker container management - you can easily switch inside a running container which is great * support for *most* programming languages * integrated terminal
When you open a new file, VSCode will recommend useful extensions.
I use VSCode for everything except for Java development and would not go back.
